I have been thinking about this and looking at Nat's logs but I want to be sure I am thinking right.

I am looking at increasing carbs to 60-70 grams. I can't decide on how many really since Nat had been at around 60 but had better results when she upped that to 70-90 grams.

Then, whatever was leftover I was going to split in half pecentage wise between fat and protein. Or, should I have a little more protein than fat?

reneny, congrats on your decision to join us :) I am sure you'll enjoy the program - it has done wonders for many of us.

I think that your carb level is going to be a personal matter - we are all different. Experimentation is in order. I would suggest only that you do not go below 30g ECC (that is what is left over after you subtract the fiber). It will be more important that you figure out your protein requirement than your fat needs. Aim for 1g protein per lb of body weight. I was using LBM for this but have since made some modifications that I have been very pleased with. Once you've got carbs and protein figured out, the rest is fat.

Keeping carbs to 40-60g ECC I found I needed to keep fat around 100g to feel good. At 80-100g of carbs (now) I have found fat is happy at 80-90g - no hunger, no moodiness, no general malaise.

It will take you a few weeks to find that 'zone' where it works for you - and you'll probably need to adjust slightly as you progress and need more food. Have a look through Beth's (Bsayne) and Marlaine's journals as well - they are getting great results with fewer carbs.
