just wanting to let you guys know that i'm off to shop for my die... umhum.....i mean my new way of eating and shopping now. im actully excited...probably because i can eat on this diet and that make me feel so much better. why didn't i discover this along time ago? better late then never i guess and maybe by my next birthday (that next october) weight wont be and issue. question it mentions about meds in the book and to quit those that are really important (if i read right) i'm on a highblood pressure med (runs in the family) it more so a water pill (hctz anyone ever heard of that?) it not really chemical so will i be ok with my weightloss just wondering? any advice will be good the good doc would rather me stay on it. i rather stay on it too. i hope losing this 100 pounds will lower my blood pressure. although my sister tall and skinny as a rail but her blood pressure goes up and down all the time. she too stuborn to take any meds says she feels fine. well i might have to take it all my life small price for the other things it can cause right? anyway good luck everyone and have a bless day xoxox

I would think that losing weight will definitely help your BP...but would NOT recommend going off of your meds without your Dr.s permission..

But, I bet you will AMAZE him when you drop some pounds!! I'd love to see his face!

I agree with swingdance. Your doctor will probably reduce the doseage of your meds as you lose weight, so don't go off them without his/her approval.

Lasix can be deadly to stop after using it for an extended period. You need to taper off of it under a doctor's supervision. Sorry.
