I'm planning on restarting tomorrow, and that's when I'll weigh in and go from there. I'm nervous because I don't have the hubby's support (he doesn't like the idea of me doing anything low carb because I said *once* that I felt deprived), so you all may just get tired of me.

Welcome back Becky . Well, the husband will come around eventually after he sees how healthy and happy you get as you low carb. You might mention to him that you feel deprived every time you pass the jewelry store and don't get a sparkly something ...hey it could work .
Best of luck and I'm sure you will do great .

Thanks guys! I'm looking forward to this, despite the hubby not being so supportive. I've got some chicken defrosting for lunch/dinner tomorrow and just made some yummy coconut oil candy, and am going to make a quick store run to get some low carb veggies, sooo..... looks like I'm all set.

Alrighty Then! Welcome Back!!! Glad to see that you are ready, willing, and able to get at the low carb life again!!!
My wife has not been tremendously supportive either, but over time she is seeing the changes in me, and you can't argue with success, can you? Well, my wife might, but that's besides the point! Seriously, I think even my wife is starting to think about how she could benefit from low carb, but she had to see me make changes first. It might be one of those situations where it just takes time for them to get it.
Hey, it even took time for me to "get it". I look back now and I know I ridiculed or pestered one or two people on low carb in my ancient past. I just didn't get it then. I get it now! I saw one of them who was on the CAD, and he was happy to see that I had finally "gotten it" and was doing so well on it.

It could take a little time, but the better you feel, the more supportive he'll become.. I believe that!
My husband was a real pain about it at first.. until I lost 40 lbs, found some long lost energy and actually started doing HIS chores (like cutting firewood and taking the trash down the 400' driveway). At that point he asked if I could make HIS food low carb!!! :)
Good luck and God Bless!

Welcome!! I don't have any support nearby, but this site has been SO encouraging to me!!
I'm sure your hubby will come around -- even though it's not cool that he's not being terribly supportive, the meaning behind it seems to be well-meant. He doesn't want to see you miserable or deprived. Sweet intentions! =)

What a great opportunity! My whole family was skeptical too because WOW I had started like a hundred different fad diets over the past 10 years! My whole family eventually joined me and we have lost a combined total of close to 173 lbs! Read the book and work the plan....it works!
