Can anyone please tell me if it is available in Australia? Have seen the bottles of the normal one at Maccas' McCafe. Have seen so many good hints and tips for using it, would love to get some. Thanks.

I haven't found the syrup in Australia but ordered some on the net from one of the locarb sites - lowcarb.com??? or lowcarbdieters.com??? It was a bit expensive but tasted good - only took about 3-4days to come. I tries some 'chips and pasta (soy protein based) YUCK revolting.
Unfortunately sweeet things seem to set me off - even low carb so I'm not getting any more.
Hope this helps

Hi there.
I actualy spoke to Davinci about their distributor here in Australia and have since sent them (the distributor) an email, but have had no reply. Their web site doesn't actually mention the sugar free syrups - maybe they don't think there's a market?!?!
If I haven't heard from them this week, I will be giving them a terse phone call.
Details of distributor:
Pine Tea & Coffee Pty., Ltd.
Mr. Clayton Pine
Unit 17/8 Gladstone Road
Castle Hill, NSW, 2154
Australia
Tel: +61-2-9680-9117
Fax: +61-2--9680-9109
email: pine~pineteacoffee.com.au

Thanks Philby and Wendye,
I have been away and haven't been on this site for a while. Since I posted the question, I decided to e-mail DaVinci in USA, who replied very nicely and promptly and gave me the name of the Australian distributor which was Pine Tea and Coffee, as in your post Philby, so I emailed them and after waiting about a week or so, finally got a reply, and have forwarded them my address and they have said that they will send a catalogue and price list. That was about a week ago, so am hoping that it comes soon. Will keep you posted when it arrives.

Wendye,
Thank you for posting that about not buying anymore of the syrup. And for your comment about sweet things set you off. That was helpful to know that other people seem to be as sensitive to even "low carb" treats as I am.

Hi again.
I also received an email from Pine Tea and Coffee saying they would send a catalogue of products.
Apparently at the moment they only import ten flavours of the Sugar-free syrups and they are sending the details to me. They called it a "slow-moving line", so obviously they have no idea of the potential market for these syrups, or have not bothered to do their research on just who their market might be.
Anyway, will keep you all posted.
Also, refer to my post regarding a new online store!!
Cheers.
Philby.

Hi again yorself - I have just got the price list - there were about 10 on the Sept 01 list but as of the Mach 2002 Price list (which is actually cheaper (???)) there are 24.
The Nutritional facts are:
Serving Size 15ml:
calories 0,
Total fat 0,
Sodium 5mg,
total carbs 0,
total sugars 0.
It is made with Splenda. Prices are GST Free.
I tried to 'attach' the Order page as a file but the file was too big.
Perhaps I can send it to your email address if you want it - let me know. It looks a bit pricey (15 bottle - in USA it is $US8 plu p& h - so I guess that's not too bad). it's OK for a special occasion - or a pressy for someone lowcarbing.
Good luck- I told them there was a huge market out there for the product and that their company was the subject of this website thread.

Did they mention anything about distributing to perth, us perthian people always seem to miss out on the good stuff. I've got a hella sweet tooth.

Hi Crystall
I don't know about distribtuinh to Perth - hope you get what you want. Have you tried sugar free chocolates "Cavalier" from Myers/GBs or David Jones or the Splenda Darrel Lea chocies???
I haven't but have heard others rave about them.
Good luck

Oh yeah!! I went and got 4 bars yesterday at darrell lea and was so excited to put it my stomach, so I ate 3 pieces and had the worst headache and a rumbly tummy, but yes they really taste fantastic, kind of balances out the constipation a bit I think. haha!!
