Lidl has tubs of salami (Toppo brand) which is cut in to crinkly rounds about the size of a £2 coin. I'm guessing there are about 50 pieces in a tub.

Place 8 or so on a plate and nuke in the microwave on high for 1 minute

Mmmmm bacon flavour crisps. YUM

Carbs per 100g = 1g ...the whole tub is 80g

I tried making these in the oven (while cooking a quiche) and I found the salami ones too spicy for my tastes so I shan't make those again.

I have however made crisps using their 'Royal cooked chicken slices' and smoked ham slices which turned out great as well as their 'smoked cheese & ham' slices.

Thanks again for the idea, esslee!! :agree:
