I have seen quite a few blood glucose monitors in Boots and other chemists.
However they usually only contain a few test strips.
It seems they expect the continuing supply will be on subscription and paid for via public or private health insurance.
As I am not diabetic this will not apply to me.
I would like to monitor my blood sugars for a while to gauge how my metabolism is reacting to various things.
When I had a look at getting test strips on the net the prices seem very high, almost stg1 per strip.
Strikes me that they are giving away the monitors cheap to generate a long term profit on consumable test strips. (Much like the color printer business does.)
My question is does anyone know what is the most economical way to measure blood glucose?
