...what do we think/feel? I know they aren't paleo because they're full of 'numbers' ie. flavour 432 etc. But are they better/worse than soft drinks or alcohol even? Personally I have a great love of red bull- sugarfree of course (with artifical sweeteners substituted, what's worse? who knows...), and I was wondering if people had cut them out of their 'paleo' diets completely or if they were semi-alright on an 'approximate' paleo WOE? Any thoughts...

In case there's any confusion, by energy drink I mean Red Bull, V, Mother etc. I'm sure there's more...don't know if gatorade/powerade fit into this group or if they're a bit different.

I used to drink them, but since I switched to a carnivorous diet, I only drink water.

Your choice, do your research on all the ingredients and decide if you're ok with putting all these ingredients in your body on a daily basis, if you are and have determined from all the info that it will not harm you and you enjoy it, go ahead.

You'll have to make up your own mind about non-Paleo additions. I think we all pretty much have SOMETHING we just can't give up.

Why drink a chemical cocktail when you can have natural and "almost paleo" coffee?

Eating paleo or close to it will give you enough energy so that you don't need energy drinks! :D

Yeah, Proteus is right. Besides, with your skin problem, it might be an ingredient they're putting in those drinks you're reacting to.

One can avoid the sugars (or artificial sweeteners), coloring and flavoring by popping pills. Any rural gas station off of an interstate will have a wide selection.

It took me a bit to stop the energy drinks myself. It is worth it, though.
