There is an excellent article in today's Sunday Telegraph on the dangers of certain carbohydrates:

Are we finally seeing a turn around from low-fat high carb to high protein/fat low carb?

Dr. Atkins name is Robert, not Richard as stated in the article.

There is a chart in the 2002 DANDR about obesity levels in the United States. The article mentioned that by 2005, the UK will have 20% obesity rate of adults. Check this out.

The number of states in which 35% or more of adults are overweight.

1988: 7
1992: 17
1996: 28
1999: 46

That's right. In 1999 46 of the 50 United states had an adult population in which 35% or more were overweight.

How alarming! I looked and looked at that chart. What is going on here? Makes me want to get out there and do something, but what?
