So Wasabi and I are going to give this a go! The program calls for 6 days a week for 6 weeks. Now, that is a great idea. But it doesn't always work out
So I am challenging anyone to get through 36 workouts! I will put in my siggy, for example, since I am done with day 2:

Si6 Challenge 2/36 Workouts DONE!

Anybody else want in???

Hey there,
I didn't see this earlier. I would definitely love to join. What should I put as my stats. I've been working out...well you know that. If this started yesterday should mine be 2/36 too?

Hiya Mis!
Slim in 6 is an exercise video, which is what I was referring to.
BUT.. if you would like to hang with us (or at the moment just ME) here, and keep track of your exercise, and complain about it, that is all cool too!!!
Can you hang with 36 workouts???
(omg, I KNOW YOU CAN!!)

msdbobby
Thu, Sep-27-07, 16:24
 Well...maybe I should try to get the video...or maybe I'll just hang out here with you two to encourage you.

Haha, yeeeeeeesssss I can do 36 workouts or die trying, lol.

No wonder you didn't invite me!!

Hey Barb,
It seem's pretty quiet in here. Where is Wasabi?

Well, I posted in my gym log earlier so I would HAVE to do what I entered. Ugh, it's alredy 7 p.m. and I just got home alittle while ago. I entered 2 hours as my Last Chance workout  I DO NOT want to do 2 hours later. We'll see, I am dying to see the 160's. I really think that I'm close.

I'll let you know how I do

Oh ho! Don't give up on me just yet! Life got in the way of posting. My thighs are hurting but i will persevere. I will do the whole session on Monday and count that as my official day one. I haven't been doing anything but walking for like months. So it will take me a little longer to get worked up to the next dvd LOL But I will do it!

FEEL THE BURN!!!

Innocent1
Sat, Sep-29-07, 12:36
NICE TO SEE YOU WASABI!
I thought you bailed out on me!
You will come to hate the words "If it's BURNING - you know it is WORKING"
ROFLMAO.
Just don't hate me too much, ok?? LOL.

I did a 3 mile walk this morning. Going to try to get in at least Start It Up. Wanted to move on to RIU, but I don't know if I will be able to get 40 minutes of TV time today with the guys home.
Maybe later.
I'm attempting my very first ever, made from scratch (even the CRUST) homemade pumpkin pie! (Not LC, so none for me, but DH has been asking for one) We'll see how THIS turns out LOL.

Sat, Sep-29-07, 15:38
Haha, I need to go edit it! I started at 9:30 p.m. and only made it to 1 hr 30 mins. My feet were aching so badly!!! I just couldn't stay on a minute longer.

Hi, Wasabi :D I love your green rose. Yea!!! Feel the burn!!!

Barb, what do you think I should put in my siggy, I don't think I'll be getting the DVD anytime soon. Elliptical for me awhile longer, I'm adding military style pushups and situps next week.

Hey 1:30 mins is still awesome!

You can still put this in the siggy. Just to keep track of your workouts, if you want!
Si6 Challenge 3/36 Workouts DONE!

I'm going to just count my Si6 workouts there, but will still report other activities here anyway.
It helps to have people to whine with! :D

No workout for me today. Feeling blah. Worked a little, very little! And took a nap!
Back at it tomorrow!

WasabiRose
Mon, Oct-01-07, 08:20
I will be doing mine during nap unless I am just on a roll in the glass room then maybe this afternoon!
Hope you feel better barb!

Thanks Wasabi. I'm OK. I think my body just needed a "down" day, ya know?
Just finished Ramp It Up :daze: I forgot how many crunches were in that! I hung in. I'm pretty sure I missed a few push ups though
You know? This video always amazes me. I have always considered myself to be a strong woman, as in upper body strength, I mean.
I throw cases of soda around for Pete's sake! But this woman can turn my arms to noodles!! OH well. The strength will come back and I'll have my arm definition again! Woohoo!
Now, let's see how I am feeling tomorrow!!!!

How you girls doing today??

msdbobby
Mon, Oct-01-07, 12:47
Hi,
Ok...my arms need to feel like noodles, lol. Today I'm going to do my elliptical for 30-45 mins and add sit ups and push ups. I should have done it earlier but I've been cleaning my office, yuck!

I'm not in the mood to workout so yes...good place to come whine! I WILL DO IT!!!!

msdbobby
Mon, Oct-01-07, 18:41
I got my workout in earlier. It wasn't bad once I got started. I did 40 mins elliptical, 25 sit ups, 25 crunches, 2 sets 10 push ups.

Lol, I took my son to his ortho appt and sat in the massage chair for 2 cycles, 20 mins. It felt so good, wish we had one at home.

Innocent1
Wed, Oct-03-07, 18:27
Ramp It Up done! WITH the 90 pound puppy trying to help me out with the floor exercises!

Oh Mis, a massage chair sounds great just about now!!

Innocent1
Thu, Oct-04-07, 09:00
RIU done again.
This won't mean anything if you are not familiar with Si6, but I got through all the floor exercises, dreaded ~ss crampers and all!
Counted the crunches today too. 176 of them!
OK, glad that's over with. Gotta update my siggie, I forgot yesterday!

How you doin' girls???
Wasabi, you still with us??

Innocent1
Thu, Oct-04-07, 09:01
Hey Mis. I don't know about you, but I HATE pushups! Too bad they are so good for the arms! LOL.

msdbobby
Thu, Oct-04-07, 10:40
You're doing awesome Barb! Ugh, I HATE push ups. When I was in karate I had to do 100 to advance to the next belt. That was my last belt so I don't know what it would be after that! Yuck, I don't even want to think about that!

They're hard and my arms & abs have been so sore since I started them.

So...I said that I was going to sign off earlier to go workout. I'm still here but I'm really going now!!!

BTW: The chair massage felt too good! I can't wait until DS's next appt.

Innocent1
Sun, Oct-07-07, 10:02
OK.
3 miles today with the pup and my DD and her pup.
Back to Si6 tomorrow when everybody goes home.

msdbobby

Walking w/ the puppy sounds so nice. We used to have a chocolate colored cocker spaniel but had to give her away because she bit my son in the face. Long story...she was not a mean dog, I miss her so much. She was my running partner. My yorkie is too small to run around the whole park. Lol, we end up carrying him 1/2 way around.

Ok...back to the subject at hand! I updated my siggy. It includes today's workout. I'm doing it after I sign off. I'll include the extras today. Crunches, sit ups...the usual.

I'm noticing a big difference in my body. Finally! I need to look back at my gym log and see how long it's really been since I started again. Maybe 2 months?

Just checked, I started again on Sept 5th. The middle of Sept I skipped up to a week in between and a few days in between. I've been pretty faithful, 6 days week, since then.

Innocent1
Wed, Oct-10-07, 07:36
OK. I'm back.
Walked with the doggie again yesterday. Going back to Si6 this morning!
Weekend was tied up with the kids being in town for hubby's BD. Only thing I did get in was the walk Sunday morning. But hey, it's something!!
Yesterday was not good. Doctor's appointment and paperwork and stuff. At least I got the walk in.
Now, back to the grindstone.

You are doing GREAT Mis!! Keep up the good work. And thanks for hanging out here with me!

I just remembered I was supposed to go running with my son on Sun. I can't remember what we did or why he didn't remind me. I know he was looking foward to it. I'll definitely suggest that we go this Sun.

Ohhhh, now I remember, he spent Sat night with his football team at his coach's house. The coach's son is on the team and they're all good friends. I picked him up after church and we were planning on running in the morning before church.

Aren't you glad I cleared that up for you

I didn't do the 'extras' after the elliptical yesterday. I need to go edit that in my gym log. Maybe today, we'll see how I feel after.

I'm amazed at how easy my hour is becoming. I mean not super easy but a whole lot easier than when it was at the beginning of Sept. I really don't dread doing it anymore.

That's why I'm sticking with my elliptical for now. I don't want to set myself up for failure. I know that if I say I'll do weight training and my treadmill I might slack off.

I haven't noticed a stall in losing inches. If I do later I'll definitely start to mix things up some.

Ugh, my stomach is upset now that I've taken my vitamins. I drank a lot of water and no food yet in my stomach :D I don't think it's helped that I'm drinking a Tab Energy, lol.

Innocent1
Wed, Oct-10-07, 10:05
OH NO!
Never never take vitamins on an empty stomach! Blech!!

Hey, you have to stick with what is working!
I am just trying to find something to work for me now! LOL.

I did Tone It Up today. 58 minutes, weighted workout.
I'm a puddle of sweat here but feeling good!
Woohoo!
I get to update my siggy again!

Innocent1
Thu, Oct-11-07, 08:33
OK, busy morning already. No time for a video. I'm sore though from yesterday's workout, and loving that! Will get it in later on this afternoon!

msdbobby
Thu, Oct-11-07, 10:57
Isn't it great to feel sore??? I love that feeling, I was feeling really sore after I started my 'extras'. I'm doing them today, already posted it and will not come back to edit it this time!!

And thank you for inviting me to stay in the challenge. Even though I'm a bone-head sometimes and didn't realize what Si6 was!

Innocent1
Thu, Oct-11-07, 21:13
 Mis! I'm glad you are here with me. You are giving me motivation!!
I did get in Tone It Up again! (Glutton for punishment here ;) )
Legs are getting back into shape, I can see already!
This is a tough series, but boy, you really get results with this Pixie of Pain!!!
I'll look for ya tomorrow!
Gotta go change my siggie! :)

Innocent1
Fri, Oct-12-07, 10:01
OK so this mornings punishment, err, I mean workout was
Shape It Up!
"Weighted, strength-building circuit for the entire body. Using medium weights, Shape It Up! targets opposing muscle groups while maintaining a high intensity cardio workout"
Yeah!
for 78 MINUTES!
and it sure seems like my legs are NOT going to appreciate me in the morning!

msdbobby
Fri, Oct-12-07, 11:19
Barb, that sounds like an awesome workout.

I'm coming here to whine!! I don't feel like going up to workout right now. Not sure why, I just feel tired and lazy.

The kitchen needs to be cleaned, laundry needs to be done - is it ever really done?, I need to vacuum, sweep, shine glass and change our bedding. On top of all that I'm working from 9-5 today, every Friday is 9-5.

Wow, it felt good to type that out  Ok, rant over!

Workout today...haha I DID have to edit yesterdays workout. No extras but I increased my elliptical time to 1 hr 30 mins. TODAY, either more than an hour on the elliptical or 45-1 hr elliptical w/ extras.

Innocent1
Sat, Oct-13-07, 09:54
OK Mis. You whined, but you got it done anyway!
Good job!
Legs were SO not happy with me when I got up this morning. So I decided against a video for today. I walked about 4 miles with the pup this morning though.
If anything I may do "Cool It Off" later tonight. It's a stretching video, I'm thinking it's about an hour long. And I probably could use it LOL.

Innocent1
Sun, Oct-14-07, 15:03
Took about a 1.1 mile walk with the pup.
It's STILL so HOT out there! Geez.
Anyway, should be able to get back to the videos tomorrow. I am walking almost normal today!

Mon, Oct-15-07, 09:46
I was so super busy this weekend. No time to workout, Sat I was out by 7:30 a.m. and went to bed at 4 a.m.! Sun the boys & I went to a friends for lunch and a kid's play after. I probably could have worked out last night but I was soooooo tired and had to do laundry, clean up and get the boys ready for bed. Sounds like a bunch of excuses

So I ended up taking the weekend off but I'm going to do it today! Not sure what time but definitely before bed.

msdbobby
Mon, Oct-15-07, 15:30
Hi,
I updated my siggy. I was going back through my gym log and see that since Sept 26th I've completed 16 workouts.

Lol, can you tell I have a couple mins free-time. Ok, my computer time is up...need to get to work. Darn, that went by too fast, no time to post anywhere else right now.

Have a great day Barb

Oh yeah, earlier I did 1 hr 30 mins on the elliptical. So, so happy that's over with for today!

msdbobby
Fri, Oct-26-07, 11:35
Seems pretty quiet in here....I think I hear an echo! Lol.

My workouts are going good. The same thing, sounds boring so I won't post details. Hmmm, what details??? elliptical

I'm still thankful that you started this thread. Something about seeing my numbers in my siggy helps.

WasabiRose
Tue, Oct-30-07, 08:27
okay... so it took a while to get started...

1 of 36 done. Boy am I sweaty!!

msdbobby
Tue, Oct-30-07, 10:05
Lol, it's so nice to see you Wasabi! Yay, 1/36 :cheer: You gotta start somewhere right?

I'm going to get sweaty right now.

Innocent1
Sat, Nov-03-07, 09:33
Hey Wasabi... you walking OK yet??? LOL.

I finally got off my butt today. No Si6 but 4 miles with the pup.
Trying hard to get my motivation back!!

msdbobby
Sat, Nov-03-07, 12:54
Barb,
4 miles is a great workout. My son wanted me to go run w/ him around the park today. He has fb practice soon and we woke up too late. Maybe tomorrow.

It felt soooooo good to sleep in today. I slept until 10:30! The boys were eating ramen noodles and watching cartoons when I woke up. Haha, very healthy brekkie huh? Usually they find something to argue about around 7 a.m. and I need to get up and be the ref.

So, it's just the elliptical for me today. You're going to get your motivation back soon, I just know it!

Innocent1
Tue, Nov-06-07, 09:21
Wow! I don't think I COULD sleep til 10:30 even if nobody was home!! My internal alarm clock goes off when it is still DARK out LOL!
Well, Start It Up done yesterday and today. Which puts me at a whopping 11 workouts!? Whoop di freaking do, huh?

Mis.. you going to start a new thread? I'll have to not just count my videos. I've been mixing it up too much anyway. Just maybe a general exercise challenge.
Let me know!

Wasabi? You still with us??

Oh, this is my official 2nd day completely smoke free!!!
(And my jeans DON'T FIT!!!)

eta: Maybe we should see if there is anything (an exercise thread) already started out there huh?
I'll take a look.
