No, never heard of it.

I haven't tried it specifically, but from what I've heard, it's very similar to the way I eat.

The macronutrient breakdown is around 10-15% carb, 20-30% protein, 60-70% fat with an emphasis on good fats and whole foods. That's pretty much what I eat on my homegrown version of low-carb.

I lost 35 lbs following Barry's advice. He has popped in to another forum I am on from time to time. Nice guy :D

I'm following the advice that appears in Barry Groves' newer book, "Natural Health and Weight Loss". He also has a website called Second Opinions, which is definitely worth looking at for general low-carb info.

I don't have that much to lose (20 lbs) but since following his plan more closely (i.e. practically never drinking beer any more), I've managed to lose over 3kg (about 7lbs) in just over two months - without getting hungry and without having to buy any special Atkins products.

I can really recommend his method. It's more gentle than Atkins and you can do it anywhere in the world!

Good luck! Read the new book by him and get going!

Why don't you just get "Natural Health and Weight Loss" by Barry Groves and/or "Trick and Treat: how 'healthy eating' is making us ill" by him?

They were published in 2007 and 2008 and are more up-to-date versions of his earlier book.

Cheaper than 80 bucks and new!

That book was what helped turned my life around. While I don't follow "Eat Fat, Get Thin" completely, my diet is close and similar, except I eat more vegetalbes and fruits than he recommends, so my carbs are slightly higher. But, if it were not for his logical approach to eating and busting so many myths, I would still be lost and struggling.

"Eat Fat, Get Thin" is only available as a download from Barry Groves in England. I bought my download from him for about $10. I think it is advertised at his Second Opinions website.

I am absolutely positive that you won't regret spending $26 on a book by Barry Groves, whichever one you choose.

"Natural Health and Weight Loss" is, as its title suggests, more oriented towards actually getting yourself onto the LowCarb Way Of Life, whereas the other book is more a general health book.

If it's guidance on low-carbing the BG way, then I would go for NHAWL.
