Hi Everyone,
I will be starting on Atkins tomorrow and would love to have a list of what kind of creamer I can use in my coffee.
Also what do they mean by heavy cream and whipping cream.
Thanks

Heavy cream and whipping cream is one in the same, just depends on how your store markets it.

Buy either and use THAT in your coffee.

Tasty good.

I use two tablespoons in my one cup (or two!) a day.

Heavy cream has the least amount of carbs in it.........not to mention it tastes soooooooo much better. :yum:

If you are used to lattes or cappucino, heavy cream is too thick to work well, so I take about a tbsp of cream and dilute it in about 4 oz of hot water, and then it will froth easily...

I don't like the taste of heavy cream in my coffee, so I use a splash of half and half. What ever you do, don't make my mistake and use Coffeemate (which I did for the first two months of this WOE). It may be low in carbs but it contains the evil high fructose corn syrup.

Heavy cream, definitely. For awhile, I was doing light cream in my coffee, and I still do sometimes because it's cheaper, but now that I'm down to 1 or 2 cups a day, I spend the money on heavy cream instead. Better for me, and tastes heavenly.

Plus, when I need to use the rest of the container quickly before it expires, I am "forced" to make whipped cream!

Absolutely right!!

I was stuck at the same weight for forever until I finally cut out the coffeemate stuff and then began losing again.

You should try a little heavy cream plus some DaVinci's sugarfree hazelnut syrup. You can buy it at Walmart. Heavenly!

Looks like a carb per Tbsp. I'd go with heavy cream, but then, that's me.

I use the canned chocolate Atkins shake mix in my coffee. It's delicious and the whole 11 oz can contains only 1 gram of carbs--so the carb count in the cup of coffee is quit

It's a chemical soup containing hydrogenated junk (transfats) and usually corn syrup solids which stall me.
