I have a friend who just started on Mona Vie juice and swears by it already after just taking it for a couple days--says it has improved her energy level immensely.

I done just a little research and find it is claimed to be a 'superfood' and is more widely known on the West Coast.

I have type 2 and blood pressure issues (elevated) and take a myriad of Rx's and am endeavoring to do the low-carb route to significant weight loss to hopefully kick the drugs.

This acai berry has my interest. As it comes in a powder and also a capsule, I think if I do decide to try this it would be better than taking the Mona Vie as it is a blend of 19 juices. Juices are not good for the diabetes or so says my vet.

My question to ya'll is does anyone have any insight on this acai; any personal experience with it; any information at all, good and bad?

It is rather pricey and I'd like to make an informed decision. Thanks much for any and all help.

I've never had the acai berry juice, but I recently bought a bottle of noni juice. Since a recommended serving is only 2 Tbsp, it really didn't seem to mess with my blood sugar (but I don't have diabetes). I mixed it with 24-32 oz of water and had it with my supplements first thing in the morning. I also started coconut oil at the same time.

I definitely noticed an increase in my energy level after starting both. I just finished the bottle of noni a few days ago, so I'm going a week or so without it to see if it was really worth the price. I can feel a slight decrease in energy, but I still feel damn good, so I lean more towards crediting having a big glass of water first thing in the morning than the juice itself, but I will say that the impact is noticable, but I just can't decide if it is enough to make it worth it.

Sorry if that was absolutely no help.

Thanks for your info. I don't know what noni juice is although I have heard of it. Yeah, the stuff that is purported to be so good for us is tres expensive. The capsules of acia that I found were $39 for a bottle of 120 and the recommended dosage is 2-8/daily!

I've started taking coconut oil also, but don't see any noticable changes; may be too soon.

Hi .. I asked the same question. Although I'd never hear of the capsule form. As for the juice version not being great because of your Type II ... it's 2 oz. Would it really affect it that much? I'm not all that familiar with diabetes, hence the question - purely curious?

clicky!

You're probably right about not affecting the glucose levels as I think the recommended dosage is only a few tablespoons a day; how could anyone afford to consume it by the bottle daily any way! The capsule isn't for the mona vie, just the acia berry. I'm going to give the capsules a try, if I find no appreciatale difference (more energy as purported) I will give the juice a try.
