and ate a WHOLE medium pizza. :nono: :nono: Toppings only of course. Does anyone know how to do a carb count for that? Thanks!

i won't shake fingers at you, i'm pretty sure you've done that enough already. however, considering the situation, i think you did far better in just eating the toppings than if you'd chowed down on the whole thing, crust and all.

pizza hut's website should have some nutritional info on it for the type and size of pizza you got. it won't be accurate to what you ate, but at least it'll give you a starting point.

Oh gosh! I think you did great considering you could have eaten the crust! I don't know how many carbs you ate, but I can tell you that I have eaten the toppings off half a large pizza and I gained some water weight, that was gone in a couple days. Good job!

OMG, this must have been an act of Herculanean willpower. I was just saying in another thread that while my former bread-mania has disappeared, the only thing that could tempt me would be pizza! I'm fine as long as I stay away from it -- but to sit down in a Pizza Hut, lift your knife and fork to a piece of it, and only eat the topping?

You are officially my Hero of the Week. :cheer:

You crack me up  I've always eaten my pizza weird anyway. I scrape the toppings off and eat them first, then the crust. So it wasn't that hard not to eat the crust.

Kvon..They actually had a card at Pizza Hut Friday evening with the counts on it. Of course, I went into shock when I read it and can't remember any details....I think I'm just gonna count this up as a learning experience and go from here.

Elle..Thanks!! (Dang it was GOOD) I'm hoping a little water weight is all I'm gonna see too. It's TOM, so I really can't tell.

the unfortunate thing about pizza is the sauce. Can you say sugar? It's in there, and not just a little bit either. Tomatoes are acidic, to combat that, you add sugar to the sauce.

But seriously, you did better than if you'd eaten the crust. Don't be too hard on yourself, avoiding pizza in a pizza place is hard. I always go for the antipasto salad instead, loaded with meats, cheese and safe veggies, and it tastes yummy!

I usually go for the salad too. This time I think I went in there knowing I was gonna pig out :) I didn't even order a salad :0 It's all good though. I'm up 5 lbs, but I'm sure it will go away with TOM and a few more days.

I order pizza from pizza hut or papa john's and did all through my weight loss phase. You can order it with light or no sauce (but no sauce makes it harder to get the toppings off). Then I roll the toppings up in a low carb tortilla and dip it in the garlic butter. OMG, I know what I need for dinner tonight.

Last time I was living Atkins, I ate pizza all the time. I would take off the topping, scape the sauce off and chow down. It never affected my loss.

I cant do it. As much as I love cheese...pizza toppings just dont fill me unless I way over eat it. And it's way too tempting to me. I'll fully admit to not being strong enough. IF there is a pizza lunch at work or something I might scrape off a piece. But I would never enter a pizza place with the intention of ordering a pizza for the toppings.

Too dangerous! But good for you. The water will dissapear faster than you realize! :agree:

Pizza sauce--at least the good stuff--doesn't have sugar in it.

Just an update folks...It has been 2 weeks since my great pizza eat. I have just this morning gotten back down to my ' pre-pizza' weight. I sure hope I learned my lesson.
