I am 33 (see my intro). Can I use CAD instead of CALP? The cover of the CALP book says that it is for 40,50 & 60s doesn't it? I saw it in the library & passed it by. I will take it out next time. I have the CAD book & I like the fact that it seems less restrictive than CALP. I am still hoping that I can lose weight & eat an unbalanced FUN reward meal. Thank you all in advance for your help.

The CALP is geared toward those in 40's and beyond, but many people begin to show signs and health issues relating to excessive insulin due to hyperinsulemia much younger than 40. I began showing symptoms in my mid- 20's and by the time I was 30, I was full-blown and feeling very, very unwell. I recommend that you take the quiz they offer in the book. If it applies to you, at any age, read the book. And read the whole book. Just as important to understand the mechanics of the problem as it is to know the solution. Good luck and hope to see you around the forums!
