Hi All,
Just wanted to say hi from the newbie in South Carolina. I have done LC in the past and have decided to give it another go. I am diabetic and quite frankly sick of myself. I have gone back to college at the ripe old age of 35 and am pursuing a degree in the medical field. I have to get into better shape or I will never be able to handle being on my feet.
Hopefully this group will help give me some support and I will make a few friends along the way!

I am in the Greenville area, about 2 hours from you. Next summer we will be moving to Illinois (where my husband's family is). I am having trouble getting myself going this time. Most of the time I can get motivated but then fall apart shortly after. This time I am having trouble getting started. I am going to get there though.
Great to meet you!

I am in the Spartanburg area! Glad to see there are a few of us in the area :) I am hoping to go back to school for nursing myself - what field are you going into??

Our daughter lives in Irmo and I love that area, your Mall is wonderful, Handpicked for jewlery and all those stores are the best. I am a "shopping mama" when I am there. And she loves to see the credit card come out too.
Atkins for me - just very slow this time.
Good luck to your Gamecocks...

When I am done with school I will have my associates as a certified medical assistant. I am very excited about it. I plan to go on to get my RN but I am going to have to take a short break in between because we are moving.
I am about 2 hours from Irmo. It is a tiny town but since it is so close to Columbia it is great for shopping.
I am having a terrible time getting motivated to really get started on the LC way of eating again. I so desperately need to get in gear and start losing. I need a kick in the pants ladies! :)
