So, this is further than I've gotten since the first time I tried lc'ing over a year ago. I kept giving in the first few days, or lets face it, the first day, to those "It's too hard" feelings. But this time, I'm determined. I wanted to start this in January, but that went no where. I tried a few times, but that is all I did, "tried", for about 1/2 a day each time. I finally decided as I looked at the past few months, that I could be at my goal weight by now if six months ago I just bit the bullet, stopped being such a baby and concoured my weight loss goal full force. So I decided, no more excuses, I will not let the rest of the year go by, I will not let the rest of my life go by being overweight and unhappy with myself. When I commit to doing things that I know is right, when I commit to improving my life, health and wellbeing, I feel good. When I put off those things that I know will make me a happy healthy person I feel unhappy. So, what's stopping me? Then? It was me... Now? Nothing!

It is day 7 for me!!! I have been through exactly what you are going through! But once you make it past the first few, you know you can do it!
Plus, this is the best place for support!

Still going strong. I'm on day four! The first few days is what I had to get through when I quit smoking too. If you can do that you can withstand any temptation that comes your way. I threw away all the food that might tempt me, not to eat badly, but to try another way of eating. I figure if Atkins is my only option I won't second guess myself. Of course, I still have breads, potatoes and crackers because of my husband, but they don't tempt me. I just had to get past the switching diets and then binging on junk when I decide to switch again. I'd plan to do Atkins, then decide to do another way of eating and eat junk for a week "just to get it out of my system before I start my diet" and keep on switching back and forth..... turned out, that became my diet. But no more! Heading on through to day 5!!!!!

Go girl go. You might want to start a journal so folks can know where to find you and come by for a visit.
