I'm looking for a physical meeting of low carb support groups in Tampa. Does anyone know of any?

Hey, ebeth.

I also live in Tampa and the only actual, physical, meeting I know of is Overeaters Anonymous. There are a number of local meetings in the Tampa area.

I went to their web site looking for information because I, too, feel that I would like to have a face-to-face kind of support meeting once in a while.

OA doesn't espouse any particular diet or eating plan. The OA program is based, very closely, on the 12 steps of AA. For some, that may be the way to go. But for me, I can't quite get into the "higher power" stuff. I'm not at all religious and I have a hard time accepting that some "higher power" is at all concerned about what I eat!

I would be willing to host a get-together of any fellow Tampians who care to meet!
