Thought I would stop in and say Hi. I am new to these boards. Found them while searching the web for some good lc recipes. Believe it or not, cheesecake is what led me here. LOL

I did lc years ago, with alot of success, but fell off the wagon before making it even 1/2 way to my goal. Sweets and holidays were my undoing.

It was when my 20 year old niece started crying that she is 200lbs (and I don't view her as fat) that I realized I had made it down as far as 215 once, I can do it again. She and I have committed to doing this together. Hopefully, with me being the older rolemodel that she looks to, I can keep more faithful.

I have set a few rewards for each 25 lb mile marker. I don't yet have something for 250, but at 225 my husband is letting me get his hair cut, and keeping it at whatever length I dictate. Right now he looks alot like the comedian Gallagher. And at my final goal, besides going chothes shopping, I am getting a naval piercing. I joke and say I want a 1ct diamond.

And I look forward to hearing about your hubby's haircut! That's a great one... just be sure he doesn't try to derail you so he can keep his hair long.

Thanks for the warm welcomes.

Grr, getting frustrated. After losing 7 in 7 days, I have already plateaued. I need something to really kickstart me. I know I need to give it time, but still frustrated.

Remember to do measurements and don't rely too much on the scale. A pause for your body to catch its breath is normal--don't let it frustrate you.

I've already mentioned in a couple of other places that I went through a plateau for almost 8 weeks during April and May. The scale bounced between 240 and 243 so many times it nearly drove me nuts. But, I was also doing measurements and for all but the last 2 of those weeks I was losing inches--hence it wasn't a true stall.

Keep your eye on the goal instead of the little day-to-day frustrations. You'll make it, and we'll all be here cheering you on.
