Hello everyone,
Like many, i too have been hanging around reading the threads, but staying quiet.
It's time for me to face up to the fact that i too have a TD amount of weight to loose. Part of that realisation its to actually put it into words, 'i have over 100 pounds to loose'.
I feel better for getting it out there, in a safe environment with likeminded pepole who can relate to this problem. I have seen on the many threads, how much support and encouragement you all give to each other, and i hope that i will be able to contribute to the group in some small way, and enjoy as much success as lots of you have.
Also, happy independence day to all the U.S low carbers
Cheers,
H x

Hi Duffy! Welcome to the TDC! So glad to have you join us.
Don't think about the 100 lbs to lose. We lose them one at a time, so just focus on the next one and you'll do great!
Good luck!

Hi Duffy!
I noticed that your wedding photo is one of your before pictures. Since I've run from cameras so hard for the last 5-10 years, I think my wedding photo may be my only before photo.
Way to go facing up to things and coming here! The people here are great. :agree:
I've really been enjoying the journey this time. My husband keeps saying "I don't think we've ever eaten this well." The new recipes, embracing what we can eat. And best of all, after even the first 10 pounds, the increased energy!
I'm still not ready to run around the block, but I find myself wanting to NOT just sit on the couch. :)
I look forward to seeing you around!

Hi C Cat,
My husband loves the food too, he just has it with a side of carbs!
I too and finding that i don't want to just sit on the couch, :hyper: i have joined the loosing excuses and cabooses thread, it has helped to motivate me, and makes me feel accountable to someone other than myself.
Im off on holiday on Saturday, hoping the weather will be better than it has been here in the UK (half the country is underwater), so im aiming to get in plenty of walking and swimming. Husband will be on carb watch for me, helping me to stay cheat free.
See you in a couple of weeks, keep up the good work

Go ahead and start a journal, and post often. Ask questions and help others too! It is cathartic and will help you to build a sense of community with others going thru the same things as you are!
Welcome! You can do this!!!

It's a sobering day when you announce to the world "I have to lose ____# of pounds."
I put it out there as well, so I could make myself accountable for my success, because I made up my mind that failure was not going to be an option. That's it, line drawn in the sand. I told my family, friends and co workers;also went online and started reading lc success stories and saw the pictures and KNEW that I too could be successful at this. Very motivating.
I began posting and reading and have learned lots on this journey, with more to go. It may take you a bit longer than you originally plan, but in the meantime you will gain the gift of health and self realization.
Best wishes!!
