I am going to try to break this plateau I have been on since January. I have been reading about M&E-Stillmans & Kimkins to break it. My question is can I still use the coconut oil and be successful? I would like to know more about Kimkins but am not willing to pay the membership fee so I have been floating around here trying to find out as much info as possible.

Any Advice would be helpful....it is so hard being 10lbs from onederland...being so close and still fighting!

Thanks
Pamela

Hey Pamela (my name too BTW although only my mother actually calls me that and then I think I'm in trouble).

I recently broke a 7+ week stall with M&E. My advice is to make whatever you choose your own, but when I do M&E I ONLY consume meat, eggs and water. I'm now alternating 5 days M&E with 5 days Atkins OWL--but haven't been doing that long enough to give you any real data on how effective it is.

Try it with the coconut oil, what can it hurt? I'm not familiar enough with Kimkins to help you with that one.

Good luck--those plateaus are the pits.

I have been kinda doing Kimkins/Stillmans for 2 weeks. Kimkins/Stillmans say not to use any oil. I am a foodie and love to cook. I only use oils to marinade because a good portion of it doesn't get consumed. I used to kill serious mayo, now a tablespoon if any. No cheeses or nuts either. Basically low carb, kinda low fat and subsequently, lower calorie, but i do not count calories.

As of this morning I am at 318, from 331 about 11 days ago.

On the weekends, I reincorporate atkins induction level veggies to break up the boredom a little.
