I just got a complete blood workup done and most of my results were fine
My testosterone was high
My estrogen was lowish
My cortisol was high
but
My DHEA Sulfate was 30! For my age, 26, they told me it should be between 250 - 280!
They also told me I shouldnt supplement with DHEA because it will boost my testosterone which was 111 with a range of 14 - 76.
Anyone ever have DHEA Sulfate issues? I see my endo tomorrow but I am still concerned

What is your diet like?
How long have you been on this diet?
What health problems have you had?
How old are you?
What supplements do you take?

Diet is low carb and usually under 20 total carbs a day sometimes under 20 net. It has varied in the past up to 30 net but low carb. I have been eating this way since 2002 with the exception of 9 months in 2004/5 when I had some issues and went off, gained my weight back that I lost and have been struggling since to lose weight.
I am 26
I have taken many supplements in the past but currently I am only taking armour thyroid. 90mg.
I saw my endo today, she is sending me to another doctor and thinks I might have cushings.

I am very reluctant to recommend DHEA or anything else related to hormones for someone that is only 26 years old.
armour thyroid
Granted, I do not know anything about this - I assume it is a prescription drug - but that might be your problem.
It would be interesting to hear what your endocrinologist says

Did you have a male twin perhaps?
http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn12087-male-twins-can-reduce-their-sisters-fertility.html
I know a lot of twins die in utero, I wonder if perhaps I had a male twin. I haven't ever married, or really wanted to.

I dont think I had a twin. I know my mother miscarried before me once and once after me. LEF is how I had all my blood work done. They offer blood testing and consultations with their doctors. I had a huge amount of tests done including the female hormone panel.
I spoke with their doctors yesterday and they were baffled by the results. They werent sure if I should supplement with DHEA because it would turn into more testosterone which was already high. They said they would research it some more and get back to me. My endo today was very concerned about my testosterone and high cortisol. She said it may be PCOS related but typically with PCOS one has high DHEA sulfate levels and mine are very low. With the elevated cortisol she suspects its cushings and she made an appointment for me with an adrenal specialist. Hopefully I will know more by tomorrow or in a few days.

Could you take a high quality women's multivitamin and fish oil for three months and then retest? That should eliminate nutritional problems

Your DHEA is low because your test is high..don't worry about DHEA at your age.
DHEA is a weak androgen..it starts declining in production at around 26 years of age.
Now if your test and DHEA were low(DHEA helps in the production of test) then I would worry..but at your young age and all that tesoterone pumping through your veins...
Forget 'bout it
