hi. well i posted in the new guy thread the other day but in a nut shell here it is. 2 years ago i lost 160 on dr.A's and was on top of the world. well after getting a few "bids" on getting the extra skin removed my spirts nose dived. it looked like sweats for life. i got so down all i could do was ...well.. eat ! nothing like a little l dopamine to calm the nerves. so the 160 came back. well.. 140 in truth. but as far as im concerned it's all back. so im back to atkins again this time for good. no more thinkijg as soon as im done, man whe this momkey is off back.. no more .. it is a life long afliction that aint going away till they put me in the ground.. i do have a lot of my dishes saved. that will help. i guess its time to make peace with myself and just treat my illness. before it kills me.counting all the diets ive been on ,ive lost about510 pounds. and put it all back. thats 1000 pounds!!!!!!!!! and i still work construion. plus im no kid either. that atkins for life motto is the truest part of the whole plan. i fluffed it off.it is for life,no question about it. well i did drop 14 pounds this , the first month. and i wasnt on pure induction. i cheated a little with a few nuts on my high fiber cappa-jello with whipped cream and raspberry syrup!!! oh. ive come up with some cool legal comcoctions over the years. ill give the recipe later if anyone wants it. so with this months loss ive got 101 pounds to go, so i guess im ok to join ? thank goodness im fat enough to get in!!

Welcome!!! I'd be scared to add up all of the weight that I have lost and regained over the years. I would say it's a very high number. Anyway, what matters is that you are here, and you're set, got the right mindset, and you're on your way. BTW, this place is great! You'll find a lot of encouragement and support here!

Welcome back budda boy. My weight loss tale isn't too different from yours, but I feel so different in my commitment this time - I know this WOE is forever now, and this will be the last time I lose this weight!

Wishing you peace, power, and progress!

Trust me, you're not the only one who was happy to learn that the gate swings both ways here. I lost 85 a few years back before I succumbed to life, and regained 77. That was far enough for me--I remembered what the other 8 pounds felt like, and had no good memories.

I'm back down 30, and in complete agreement--this is about a life-style change. Good to have your positive outlook and sense of humor on board.

hi all, thanks for the nice responce.you have to have people out there to help get the fat out of your brain.my brain is now RE-SET to my goal and im eating for that. im just waiting for my body to catch up. and yes. sag is better than fat. i like sweats, thier comfortable. $30 grand for a lift? that buys a lot of sweats.i have invented a new bypass device.. cost 29 cents... when i feel like and extra few bites i put a clothespin on my lips!!! works great. the AMA hates it...so between the "pin" and some real slick sweats i figure ill save close to $70,000. not bad. i wish i could draw this out as a cartoon. use your imagination.. got to run... ill post my cappa-jello desert later. its great..

hi. i did post my cappa-jello recipe on the sweets section. ive been doing some experments with texture. ive discovered a great artificial brownie with the capp-jeloo thing and textured soy protien mix. the next batch will be a total chewy brownie, topped with whipped cream, raspberry devinchi and prehaps one crushed walnut. this could be the treat i need without hitting a trigger.. some things just turn me into a mad man, like eclares or real fancy pastery..anyway ill post it after sea trials..
