I luv Atkins, I know its the only plan that works for me but I always get constant burping while on it. Even if I don’t eat for 12 hours, it still happens. Any suggestions?

My husband has this problem and it is related to veggies and fruits. Try eating just meat and eggs for a couple days and see if it goes away. You may be sensitive to the sugars in veggies and salad if you previously did not eat much of it.

I have the same issue--and it persists even when I'm doing M&E. It's not loud or obnoxious, just a little burp that I don't think anyone notices other than me. It happens pretty frequently throughout the day though I almost always notice it while I'm exercising. I always hope it's fat escaping from my fat cells--lol.

This was a timely thread. I went to my daughter's college this week and helped her and her 2 roommates move out of the dorm. Do to my lack of planning, I ended up going a lot longer than normal without food... and I started burping! I thought of this thread and am wondering if the real issue is not eating often enough to give the stomach some food to work on. I normally eat every 2 or 3 hours and don't experience the burping. It was about 6 hours between eating when this happened to me. Just a thought...

Good point Dianne. I notice it a lot when I'm walking in the mornings (before breakfast). However, I also notice it during my aerobics in the evening which is usually about an hour and a half after supper. For me, I wonder if it's triggered by the exercise.
I will say though, when I did the whole Phen-Fen thing years ago I had the constant burping then too.

It's really bad when I'm exercising. I've done a little experimenting this week and it's the fat that does it for me. I used to get really bad heartburn on this WOE, and dropping some of the fat has made it much better.
