My P.L.A.N.

to track their progress here on the site? How does it work for you? Any tips or hints while using it?

I am! It's working fantastically because I can see what I'm eating and how much protein and fat and carbs are in each one. It's an accountability tool for me.

No hints or tips from me since I'm still learning it, but I'm looking forward to seeing what other people say.

I'm using it to track weight and measurement changes, but not to track food. I've used fitday.com--but am only sporadic with it since it makes me a little nuts (um, nuttier?).

hey thanks!

I think i will just use it for the weight and measurements too. I suck at keeping track of my food.

I like the little graph though for the weight loss progress. I think fitday has this too. But I think it is good for me to have it all in one place.

I did my measurements today for the first time since starting back last month. That was interesting. LOL

I really like using the MYPLAN here and the Journal entries to track my progress. Then once in a while I take it all into MS Excel or Google Spreadsheets. I like to take the numbers into account, graph the losses, look at various windows of average losses (7 day, 14 day, 30 day), and project forward into the future. It doesn't necessarily help me lose more, but it is fun to watch yourself succeed and make progress, and have a guess when you will hit the next level (I get excited about every 10 lbs, really).

I did Fitday as well, but stopped entering in daily values at some point. Still if you haven't done it before, I would highly recommend doing it for awhile to get a sense of what you are eating, and how many carbs, etc you are tracking on a day-to-day basis.

I think the tools available should be explored and used to help keep yourself on-track and accountable. Blogging or journalling and posting often help me too. It also is a positive behavior that keeps me motivated and on-track.
