I went somewhere where I couldn't avoid a couple of sets of stairs. Normally, I would do anything to avoid these because I get so out of breath and my knees are causing me problems. I went down them with a little knee pain and later back up with little problems getting out of breath. It was surprisingly not painful.

Just celebrating a little victory. Actually, kind of a big victory considering how much fluid I must have been retaining, thus causing my being out of breath. That alone is a huge improvement in my life.

Isn't it nice when you just notice the little things that happen with just a bit of a loss of weight. Stairs are pretty punishing and I also avoid them if I can. You're doing awesome. Keep celebrating those little victories!

Dear Chris,
I can relate because I have a lot of knee problems too. I have to use a cane on the stairs. I have been aware in the past couple of months that my joint problems are much better when I am not eating sugar and reducing my carbs.

I had a binge today and I could not believe how stiff and achy I felt, even by the time I left the restaurant! As I was walking to my car, with great difficulty, it came back to me why I started on this weightloss plan in the first place!

So if nothing else, I guess we can be glad that those old achy knees will be quick to remind us, if we stray, of why we need to stay on the straight and narrow!

Congrats!

Best wishes,
Cathy

OH, that's AWESOME!!!

I think you've hit on the 'thing' here. Reckonizing each victory, small and large, on the way to the journey. If you're only looking at the future prize, you might go mad!!!!!

Great job! I recommend starting a journal here and note all of your victories and accomplishments in there. It's great to be able to go back and read about your successes!
