How do you do it? I feel like a mindless robot not able to controll it. I've had M&m's two days in a row. bread last night, a small peice of birthday cake today. and all I want to do is eat. I know part is PMS but I feel out of control

The key to the cravings, I've decided, is to short-circuit the mental process that leads to cheating. For example, when I remember that there is leftover birthday cake in the fridge, instead of thinking about how it would taste and wondering how big a piece I could have and still not feel too guilty, etc., etc., I make myself go do something else.
This time around, when a bad craving hit, my secret weapon was to log on to this site and surf through the before and after pictures in the gallery (usually while I sipped a glass of water or some diet Coke). Before long, I wanted to look like those after photos way more than I wanted that piece of cake.
Sometimes I would go outside (away from the kitchen) and go for a walk. Sometimes I would sit down and write in my journal. Sometimes I would play music, or pick up a good book. Anything to stop myself from "obsessing" about the forbidden food.
Also, I took Judy's advice and tried to concentrate on what I COULD eat. I love those little ricotta cremes from Phase I, and the s/f fudgesicles saved me more than once.
The good news is that if you can finish Phase I completely clean, with no cheating, the cravings really do subside. Now I can even drive by DQ with nary a twinge! LOL...
I hope that helps!
