hi all ! i am proud to announce that i have been 42 days cheat free !!!

this is a huge accomplishment for me and i am sure lots of people struggle with it. so if anyone wants to stay accountable with me i would love to have some buddies around. we can use this as a place of celebration and also a place to "vent" when we feel the urge coming on !

****they may move this thread, but i wanted this to be a "TDC thang"

Congrats. 42 days is incredible. I am thinking I might want to join this too. I have been all over the place with my commitment to this woe. Not exactly cheating but not actually being totally true. Thankfully I am not gaining but when I look at where I could be at this stage compared to where I really am I get very discouraged and down on myself. If I had just stuck to this plan faithfully I could have been hypothetically(sp) an additional 90lbs down.

Hi Amy411,
Congrat's on 42 days! Thats's Fantastic!
Do you have room for one more? :)
I've been riding the yo-yo for months now and have just recently broken the yo-yo and lost 7 lbs in the past week:thup:. I'm on my third day of my new style of eating. so that's 2 days that I want to count. I have a major work/dinner coming up tomorrow night. I want to stay accountable and breeze through it. Any suggestions?

Congrats, that's a really great accomplishment. I'll join you--with the understanding that I'm taking a "reward" meal on June 30 which is my 28th wedding anniversary.

Right now I'm 15 lbs away from where I was when I got sidetracked my first time on LC. I'm anxious to reach that point and continue on to goal.

I always post my menu and exercise in my journal so I won't repeat it here--but I can always use extra accountability.

cheating to me is eating anything off plan. it happens to the best of us, but we can all pull together and hope for a better future :) i'm letting katwoman stay and she is going to have a planned cheat at the end of the month *wink*.

Yesterday was a semi bust for me. Didn't get my water in as I was so exausted in the morning so went back to bed then had to get up and do some running around. Ended up eating some crap and then started worrying about how many carbs and almost blew it completely so had to go to bed to stay away from food. Woke up this morning and realized I only ate maybe 35-40 carbs in total yesterday so wasn't as bad as I thought. So far back on track today.

Lucky number 13. Great job.

Have been drinking lots of water so thats good. Eating has been okay but not great. Have discovered burnt beans, darn. Those are so good.

Was up 2lbs even with the water but I am like that anyhow. Up and down continuously. No matter how good or bad I am.

Still doing pretty good with the water intake. I am down to 265lbs again so really happy with that. Ate too much chicken so hopefully all that protein didn't do me in.

Well the excess protein finally did me in. I am up 4lbs.

The good news is that I went shopping for bras and actually fit into more than one style. I went from a 48DD to a 40C. I finally bought a bra that didn't come in a box. Yah me!!!

Yesterday I started back on induction level carbs and let me tell you the headache was so intense. I didn't think just several days of eating more carbs(not bad ones) could really do me in like this. I was headachy, crampy and bitchy all day yesterday. Didn't help that the idiot sperm donor doesn't bother to come over to see the kids on Fathers Day and when he eventually does call at 10pm and my son says Happy Fathers Day he says "That really doesn't mean anything to me anymore". He really upset the kids. Madi had made him a card and paper tie and Will really struggles to even like his dad at times so it took a lot for him to even say HFD and then he gets dissed like that.

any newbies or oldies who would like to join us?

Sun, Jun-24-07, 02:38
Not doing to well here today. Eating a lot of cream cheese and stuff. I was close to my breaking point as the kids have a bunch of junk in the house so decided to buy some legal stuff so that I don't end up eating crap. The lesser of the two evils. Still not the best of all choices.

katwoman
Sun, Jun-24-07, 10:46
Hang tight dearmommy. You may not think you're making the BEST of all choices, but isn't it better than choices you've made in the past? Progress not perfection.

Sometimes I find jerkey is a good legal treat to keep on hand--it's so tough to chew that it takes longer to eat--therefore the snacking urge passes before I've eaten much. Another technique is to fix a labor intensive legal snack--such as devilled eggs. You're kind of psyching yourself out--you can have a snack--but you have to spend some time preparing it. Works for me anyway. Most the time now I decide against the snack and do something different.

dearmommy
Sun, Jul-01-07, 15:38
Still struggling on this end. Usually it is because I am not prepared properly. I have such issues with eating that I don't want to have things prepared because I will just eat them until they are gone anyhow and still be in the same old situation.

Sallie
Sun, Jul-01-07, 16:53
Dearmommy, I sincerely feel for you :there: You do have a dilemma. Almost a catch-22 situation.
In your case, I think Katwoman's post would be something to consider:

The more you have to work at it at the time you want it may make you think twice about a snack. I, on the other hand, need prepared snacks or I would go nuts (pun intended) and eat everything in sight (lc or not).

You have done so well with your weight loss so far!! I am inspired by your numbers. Keep your eyes on the prize :dazzle:

I'm still here too, on track and still being a turtle. . .

dearmommy
Sun, Jul-08-07, 01:08
I am pretty much on track too except for a couple of handfuls of nuts along the way. Almost down to 265lbs again so that is nice. I am tired though of losing and gaining the same 5-8lbs. It just irks me to no end that I could have potentially(sp) down another 70+lbs since last year.

I also try to follow making treats that take a time to prepare and the ones that help are individual serving ones but any that serve more than 2 are a real problem for me.

I discovered the one minute bowl muffins which are great because the kids love them too so I make one large one and cut it into 3 or 4 pieces depending upon how many of us are at home and it is enough to have a small bite or 3 and be satisfied.
