Hi I'am Lynn, a 43 year old mother of two sets of twins, wife to a wonderful man, Ralph, for the past 21 years, and Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse. I started LC'ing May 5,2007 with my husband, At 6'1 and 210 pounds to start he's just about at goal down 13 pounds . I on the other hand started at 270 and have done well also and am down 14 pounds, I however are not anywhere near my goal of 140 lbs. Did I mention 210lbs is my husbands highest weight ever?! Argh!!!! The good news is he had to come off his blood pressure medicine because his pressure was to low. I'm blessed to have no medical issues even though I have been overweight as long as I can remember. And it's not baby fat since my youngest set of twins, my girls are 14, my boys are 17. I've been reading TDC for several weeks and thought I would introduce myself finally. Nice to meet you all hope to get to know you as our journey continues. I love the support you give to each other, it helps realize there is hope that I will make it.

Welcome Lynn!!
Yes...there is always hope!! I thought that there was no hope for me...and when I came here every day and kept reading, I started to see the glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
Now its 3 yrs later and I did make it happen...I wish this for you too!! :agree:

Wow Lynn, what an interesting job (though I'm sure it's heartbreaking at times) and what a neat family! Are both sets of twins identical?
You're off to a great start. And you've found the right place for support.
I hope you start a journal soon, it's a great place for you to record your journey and for others to visit you.

NICU nurses are my favorite people in the whole world. Welcome Lynn. (My middle child had open heart surgery when he was thirty days old, and the NICU nurses at Children's Hospital in Dallas were the most wonderful lifesavers ever, for him and for us. He's a healthy six and a half year old now, by the way.)
Thank you so much for what you do. It means a world to us.
Welcome to the TDC. Jump right on in.
