If someone living nearby or traveling in the area is interested in a 10k, half marathon or full marathon, our chamber of commerce is sponsoring one. Most marathons have the traditional pasta dinner the night before. But this one will have a crawfish boil instead.

No, my wife is the race director. She's on the chamber of commerce. She would come with me when I went to marathons and saw what a fun adventure these were. So she set up the local race. I don't get to run this race because I'm stuck doing much of the work setting up water stations and such. Seeing how much effort is required, I am careful to thank every volunteer at every race I go to.

Our race has 40 or so people registered already. Some from Florida, a group from Arizona, 4 or 5 from Canada and a pair coming from Iceland.

OOOHH!!!!!!!! My Goddness! That is sooo cool. There is no way i can do it, but wow! I looooove wild horses. I would hope that the directors/ people sponsoring the race are handing out literature as to the plight of the wild horses? That would be a great way to get people involved in helping to save them!!!!
