Hi everyone! I've just started the South Beach Diet and I can't find anything about Protien Shakes. Are they safe to have as a snack or part of breakfast?

Where can I buy whey protein powder? Do I need to go to a health food store or GNC?

Watch the carb content on the Protein Powder. Some of them can get quite high!

Strawberry Banana Protein Whey powder.
Do you mean that you put in strawberries and bananas to the whey protein powder?
If this is the case, then the answer is No...you can't have fruit during phase I.
If you can make your smoothie without fruit, yes, you can have it.
You can use the sugar free davinci syrups for flavor. Or you can use vanilla flavored yogurt, low fat or fat free, with the whey.
Whey protein powder can be found at your local health food store.
Watch out that it does not contain sugar.
