Today was the first day since my problems w/ shin splints that I went on a walk w/ my dog. I made sure to stretch during workout and afterwards. I was reading someones journal about their dog being heaven sent and causing them to get up and moving...that is what my dog has been for me. She forces me each day to make sure to go on a walk. Even though I have put on the weight that I lost last year (and put on some) I have maintained some of my muscle that I gained because of her. So, yeah I just thought I would share :)

Your journal caught my eyes so thought I'd stop by and say "Hi". :wave:
Your doing a great job and just as an fyi those shin splints will go away if ya' just slow your pace down a bit; you don't have to change your mileage just the pace and those bugaboos will soon go away. Ice pack treatments help out a lot, placing your legs up when resting, and lastly epsom salt baths are great for aching and sore muscles. :thup:
