hi my names kelly and i started the atkins on the first march my weight was 162lbs. i weighed myself today and i was 159lbs. that is on the atkins diet. i would just like to know if it would be possible if i keep at this diet will i lose 25lbs for my holiday in june. :wave:

Sounds like a lot to lose from a relatively low starting weight - heavier people lose faster.

What height are you? i.e. is 137lbs a reasonable target for your height?

im 5.7 and 137lbs would be ideal.ive just set that as a target so hopefully ill push myself further :lol: was wondering what the south beach diet is thanx kel x

137lbs would be OK for your height, although it is on the low side.

Your body might let you get there, but aim for an average of 1-2lbs per week, and then you won't be disappointed?!

South Beach is very easy to follow, less strict than Atkins and easier to keep to.
In the short term, you will probably lose more on Atkins.
