In my kitchen...there are cheese curls, which i love, yummy cookies that smell good.....and some other random stuff that I just want to pig out on.

I was down another pound this morning, and i felt like i was doing good...but I'm so tired/hungry,and bored all the time.

So I found 3 pieces of sugar free/low carb candy...around i'm esitmating cause according to the package it has3 carbs in it, but i believe its probably a lie...so, i'll go with 15carbs for 3pieces or so......and i eat them....because i need something to stop the craving, the urge to eat anything....i felt bad for eating those because i read that they stall weightloss, and so far i've lost 6-9lbs and i'm on day 9. Relativly that's good for under two weeks. Around 3 lbs per week I suppose. I'm happy about that....

I wanted to eat something good because this is what i've had 2day

Steak Salad(lettuce cheese sour cream steak) 5 grams of carbs
Steak for dinner and 2 boiled eggs 3 carbs
3 pieces of s/f candy low carb around 15 ?
And a salad just now because i wanted to pig out...which was around 4 grams.....

I totatlly felt like pigging out. I ate my salad, and i'm pretty comfortable now....but is there anyone around to give me some ongoing encouragement.....? :help:

We're here! Now step awayyyy from the kitchen.

In the scheme of things, 3 pieces of LC candy is not nearly as bad as scarfing down a bag of cheese curls. Yes, they cause stalls. Yes, you're in induction and shouldn't be near them. However, if it was that or the cheese curls, ya done good kid. ;)

Silly question - have you been drinking enough water? I've found that it satiates me and makes me feel full. However, it sounds like you're eating/wanting to eat not from hunger, but from boredom. We've all been there...but you have to address that. No food is worth your health or peace of mind, and no food is worth you throwing away all you've done so far.

Hang in there, darlin'! We've got your back!

I'll admit, I don't drink as much water as I should..... :bash: But I try to drink stuff w/water in it. It just hardly ever works out that way.

And yea I'm very bored, like after work I wanna eat...but today I took my son out to play and it was so hard keeping up with him! Maybe tomorrow....I'll feel better.

:bhug: You've got reason enough to stay away from that kitchen, girlfriend. You don't need to hear it from me. ;) Please don't let the gloomy stuff overshadow what you've accomplished so far.

It's now late in the evening --- how did you do? Did you make it through and not touch the cheese curls?

Yep. I didn't touch them at all. I even pulled some out for my son eariler, and gave them to her without taking a bit!I was so proud!

Find a hobby or craft or good book or "something" that will keep you busy---develop the skills of looking for an outlet when you're bored that doesn't include food.

Or, if you cook or bake, find some recipes for low carb treats that you can eat when you're done making them. Create other things in your life so empty time doesn't revolve around food.

Get out of the house, go for a walk, anything.

You can do this, you can-----you are completely worth it!!!

I used to scrapbook all the time, and somehow or another I got discouraged. A year ago I promised like 2 people I'd make them scrapbooks, but none of them are done lol...So i'll probably do that! I gotta work today though...

Thinking about finding a better job though....One where I don't work around food, and work at least 8hrs a day...I don't know where though. Thanks for the help guys!

By the way......

I bought a scale and it came with a pedometer...if I wore that pedometer at work..(i'll be on my feet for about 4-5 hrs non stop) Would that help me track how much calories i've burned(and yes I'll be walking around, and carrying/doin things)What do ya'll think?I kow it won't count as excerise but every little bit of something works right?

I don't see near enough REAL food on your menu. You need more protein, veggies and fat. Then you won't be near as apt to get hungry and crave crap. While you are just starting out, you need to eat (real food) until you're full but not stuffed. If you get hungry, even if it's head/boredom hunger, eat a small protein/fat snack. Soon you won't be having attacks of the munchies very often. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Sunny!

wild cherry it's really fantastic how much weight you have lost already,,,i just wanted to say that because i'm looking at your goals and i'm really impressed. the idea of being 190 by may makes me sooo envious of you. originally i wanted to be 210 by june but i don't see that happening because i haven't stayed out of the 'kitchen' when i should've, case in point, last night. see don't be like me, don't cheat and throw 20 pounds away over the course of 2 months. i had really strong will power for over 3 1/2 months but once i went off i started going off once a month.

but right now you are losing as fast as paul mccartney's bank account...so stay with it girl, you got it in the bag!

Make some revoulution bread and have it in the freezer when you want something like that just slather it with butter a little bit of Splenda and a bit of cinnamon. Yummy Or... make some cheese crackers in the microwave. I even have my daughters friends hooked on these. Nice and cheesey!!!

Try to clear you kitchen of all those prohibited foods.

Just remember
Success is the product of many correct choices.

I think that's a great idea. There are several people around here who try to hit 10,000 steps per day. If nothing else, it would let you know the days where you aren't getting in as much walking so you could add more walking after work.

I agree with the other posters, if you are hungry, eat a little protein and fat and drink some water or green tea. You don't really need to worry about calories until you stall.

It's the little victories, won each day, that keep us on track.
