congratulations happy! that is a huge achievement! i'm confused though, why do you have to wait until sunday to eat something? aren't you eating now? i feel like i never quit eating lol...i snack all day if i'm home. btw, 3.6 pounds is no small drop in the bucket, i'd love to lose that in one week. i average 2 pounds if i'm lucky. keep up the good work!

I agree, 3.6 pounds is a great loss in what, 2 days? Celebrate that! That's awesome! You shouldn't have to feel like you can't eat.

Awesome!! CONGRATS!!!!
That's awesome, but as others have said, you SHOULD be eating. "Eat until you are full." That's the beauty of Atkins (which it seems is your plan).
"I can't wait until I can eat something" is NOT something that an Atkins follower should say, ever. Eat, especially at the early stages. Eat and eat - just eat ALLOWED FOODS.
I usually don't eat in this volume, but I'll step up and let you in on what I ate yesterday (and did not gain, incidentally) to show you that you don't need to be *not* eating on this WOL:
breakfast: 3 egg omelette with ham, peperoni and cheddar, side of bacon.
lunch: 3 eggs fried in real butter, 4 sausage patties, frank's red hot hot sauce.
dinner: 24 oz steak, side of brocoli and cauliflower in real butter
snack: extra creamy whipped cream.
And I felt no guilt. THIS is why I don't get it when people can't do this diet. Granted, that was a really luxurious day for me, but it was ALL legal, and I even got my veggies in. Normally I'd be more likely to have 1 egg-based meal and 1 meat-based meal, and 1 salad meal, no snacks and less additive-based foods (peperoni and bacon), but NOT because I'd want to eat more, just because that's what I'm usually comfortable eating (and I like to avoid additives when possible). Yesterday I was especially hungry in the morning for some reason, then went out to a get together at night, so I ended up eating more. But the beauty of it is, I don't feel bad, I stayed on plan (and in Ketosis) and I had a great time.
And other thing - when I started, I'd actually eat MORE than what I ate yesterday a *lot* of the time. My re-sizing my portions has come naturally over time with my getting rid of the physical carb addiction and the lowering of my body's need for calories to keep itself going.
So EAT for the love of god!

I'm with J13 and Stacey on that... Why on earth are you not eating? I snack a bit thru the day and have smaller meals. Believe me, *that's* the benefits of atkins! I've tried Weight Watchers and a couple other bursts of low fat dieting. I will not go back there.
If you are just getting started with Atkins, don't worry about calories right now. Especially thru induction. You want to just get over the sugar craving first. Eat when you're hungry, eat until you are satisfied. That should be my new motto.

Oops! My bad, wasn't thinking.
I officially start lc'ing on Sunday. Right now I'm doing a fiber cleansing suggested by my doc. Part of the reason she suggested it was to get my appitite under control. It's mostly a liquid diet, but I'm able to eat 2 nutrition bars a day and 2 "reward" snacks...one cup of veggies and one cup of fruit...each day.
I just want some REAL food...like a steak! LOL
But thanks for all the well wishes, guys. I love that everyone here is so supportive.
