Hi everyone,

I'm getting frustrated. I can NOT seem to eat more than an avg. of about 700-1200 calories per day. I'm just not hungry. In fact, I feel full and the idea of eating more is torture! I'm actually starting to catch myself skipping breakfast. I did make myself eat some breakfast this morning and even so, I'm still below 1000 calories for the day. My overall carb count is low, I'm eating my salad, I'm eating meats, ...I'm on program just fine. But I do know that eating more calroies would probably help. I'm pretty sure why I'm in a stall. I know we' re not supposed to count calories. I see my Fitday breakdown and think "wow, I'm not eating very much".

Anyway, any advice? I don't feel like posting this "out there". This TDC feels like such a safe cozy place, you know?

Here's what I ate today:

Breakfast:
coffee with 18% cream
6 breakfast sausages (4g)
Lunch:
Skinless chicken breast chopped and fried in olive oil
iceberg lettuce
2 tbsp maoy
Dinner:
left over chicken breast with the olive oil
1/2 cup cut asparagus boiled and then tossed in butter
2 strawberries

snack:
1/2 a wasa cracker
1 tbsp cream cheese

meds and supplements: one-a-day weight with egcg, 500mg metformin, 1 metamucil capsule

An ocean of water.

So anyway, that's my day. ANY opinions, experiences, anything would be appreciated.

Greenwitch:

I have days when I don't want to eat as well, I let myself have those days. I just try tp keep my fat level up so my body doesn't go into starvation mode.

Personally I have found that I can occasionally lower my caloric intake as long as I keep the fat level at 80% and still stay out of starvation mode.

try making whipping cream with heavy cream everyday...i do that and use the liquid splenda banana flavor or real strawberries with the sf davinci white chocolate flavor. that will up your calories and increase your fat. btw, it's normal to not lose in your 3rd and 4th week after a big loss the first two weeks...your body is just leveling out, it will pick up again...but congrats on your weight loss so far, thats great!

Thank you so much! I never even thought of just adding in cream like that to up my calories and fat. I'm going to try that. Ooooh isn't that hilarioius? A dieter saying "I know what I'll do! I'll eat more fat and increase my calories so I can lose weight!" This LC life is just a riot!

True, I had a nice loss if I even think of all of March being an 11 pound loss month, so I shouldn't be too down about it. Thanks for the reminder!

I wouldn't worry about it.

There are days when I only have 800-900 calories, and it's not planned. Low fat protein, high fat egg yolks, salad greens. . . it's just not a lot of calories.

Now there have been days when I've gone oer 2300 calories too, but it happens.

Yeah I agree.. don't stress.

If you are upping your cals, fat is always good - like suggested, cream & cheese & oils.
