Hi guys. I'm brand new here and am grateful to have found you all. I have only introduced myself in the newcomers section so far. I currently weigh 380 and am going through Atkins induction-I started on Monday. Yesterday! Anyhow, I'd like to do a weekly weigh in on a good scale but the ones I've seenare not set up for guys my size. Any ideas? :help:

hmm, wondering about perhaps a fitness club in your area or maybe asking your doctor if you could stop by and just weigh there. I'd think your doctor would definitely say yes to encourage you since loosing weight will benefit your health! Another suggestion would be the hospital IF your doctor's office isn't able to.
Best wishes to you and welcome to the gang!

Bed, Bath, and Beyond carries a digital scale that goes up to 400 pounds. It is $39.99. Here is the online link, but I got mine from the store. It works will, very consistent reads.

I have an earlier version of the Tanita HD351, which is great. My DD weighs about the same as you and it works just fine for her. It weighs up to 440. Here's a link to it: http://www.tanita.com/DigitalScales.shtml (scroll to the bottom).

Diemde, what is DD.
It stands for Dear Daughter. There is a thread around here somewhere that has the translations, but I couldn't find it tonight. Some common ones are DH=Dear Husband, DF=Dear Friend, DS=Dear Sister or Dear Son, WOE=way of eating, WOL=way of life.
You'll like the Tanita. If you bought the one that has the 5 buttons, you can use one and the rest of the family can use the other 4. We had one set for my daughter, one for me and one for each cat. My daughter likes to weigh the cats.
