I posted an introduction on the main intro board but I think I should post one here as well because I think this may become my " home " for a little while .
My name is Irene I am from Ontario Canada . I am a stay at home mom of four munchkins. This is my second time around first time I lost about 40 lbs got pregnant and gained it all back and then some ( excuses excuses right) .
I know this works and thats why I am here . I have found myself starting to hide from the world because of the way I look and that not what I want for me and not what's fair to my kids or my hubby. I look forward to sharing this journey with some new friends...

I too find myself hiding or not even getting dressed up to go out because of my weight.I dress in stretch clothes baby shirts, and my hair pulled back, with a pair of sun glasses on,and sandels. Everyone looks at me like i'm rift raft.
But here is a great great self esteem booster. Start off small because I find myself kicking my butt when i do it.
When just getting up in the mornings, brush your hair, teeth, and put on something nice, not anything fancy, but something casual, and good. Even if you're a stay at home mom and you're only running to do laundry, and cooking.
The next time, put on some make up, don't spend a lot of time doing your make up because you'll get frustrated and say" oh u fat cow no matter what u do u'll still be huge!" just put some foundation, eye liner...something quick and easy....
Next, do it all together except go out this time...and everyday keep doing it...
Also, i have what i call beauty days....i do my hair, make up,and my nails....facial (all at home i have no money for it to be professionally done)I cut my hair, or dye my hair....or i do something that makes me feel better
Well, I just wanted to say welcome...and hopefully you'll feel welcomed here! :agree:

Welcome Irene!
Wildcherry is right. This is as much an internal journey as it is external. Treat yourself like the diva you are starting now. Don't put off feeling good about you!
