Nothing against vitmain C, but I think that one day they will show that optimal values of most vitamins and minerals assist in burning fat and removing wastes.

What's spooky is that the group that received 500mg/day did better, and that doesn't get me out the door. I take 7 g a day, and I know there are reasons to take more.

IMO, 500 mg is what it takes to keep your teeth from falling out of your head. But apparently, it's not hard to find people who get even less. Wouldn't have taken me long to figure out what they were trying to do with the "before" diet, but I wouldn't have been in the study anyway.

I think what struck me about this subject is realizing that as lowcarbers we probably have marginal intake of vitamin C from food sources. I take a pharmaceutical-grade high potency multi, but I think I'll go back to taking Ester-C also.

Second, please tell me that you are not taking just vitamin c - but a high quality multi-vitamin. :-)
