I work out every morning before I eat or drink anything for 15 minutes on yoga/ropes..afternoon after lunch I walk moderately (the dog) for 15 minutes and I just started going back to the gym where yesterday I did 20 minutes of 3.3 speed on the treadmil...
Suppliments I take:
7am - 1 soft gel of 1000 mg. of Milk thistle
12 noon - 1tablets calcium 500mg.w/vit D -250 IU, 1 tablet 250 mg. magnesium
1 capsule oregano oil 50 mg. w/ flaxseed oil 25 mg.
4pm - 1 ounce goji juice
5:30 pm - 1 multi vit./min. complete antioxidant nutrient plus lutein , 1 tablet 1500 mcg. Biotin, 1 tablet calcium 500 mg.w/vit D - 250 IU, 1 tablet 250 mg. magnesium. 2 capsules glucosamine/chondroitin 400 mg.
Is that giving me enough vit/min that I need ?? I'm 48 yrs. old, have not gone through menopause yet but think I am in peri menepause as I get hot flashes and periods every three weeks!

You might want to think about increasing vitamin D3 (and make sure its D3) to around 2000-5000IU a day.

I'm right there with you in age and I take a whole lot more than that, but I would hate to say you "need" to do anything based on decisions I've made about my life. I have done a lot of reading--on this board and in books and other sites--and over the course of that, have evaluated my risk factors and concerns and decided to address some of them with supplements.
Only you know your family history, budget, tolerance for supplement routines and lots of pills, medical factors, environmental challenges, etc. Only you know whether you believe the RDA is a valuable number or merely a starting point to keep your teeth in your mouth.
There are a lot of good supplement books on the market. I like Dr. Atkin's Vitanutrient Solution; you can probably find others in the library or in a used bookstore. The field changes so don't go with anything more than five years old.
The truth is, I think budget factors make the biggest decisions. There are a whole lot more things I would take if I didn't have to pay for two knee surgeries this year. It's all a gamble on my health at 80+--going to be a fat waste of money if I get hit by a bus before Christmas, but I have to plan for the longer run.
Good luck.

I would get a better (higher quality) women's multi-vitamin and lots of fish oil. YOu might substitute some fish oil with borrage oil, flaxseed oil, evening primrose oil, etc.

He had another great book -- I will have to try to remember to look it up. the only problem with his books - are that they are now kind of old information. But his books are still a great starting point.
