I keep hearing 'heavy cream' in American recipes but have no idea what it is. The closest thing I can think of is natural yoghurt. Help me out here, can it be got at tesco? ;)

Hiya Markmc,

I asked this question too a couple of weeks back - it is what you and I in England would call double cream. I have found some Really thick double cream in Tesco that only has 1.6g carbs per hundred grammes. I have checked out all the other large supermarkets and as far as I can find this one is the lowest carb. :yum:

thanks very much for the speedy reply Jenny. I had just seen a recipe for fauxtatoes which includes heavy cream and I'm gonna try it. Thanks again.
