Faiz, fat is good for you. Period. Certain fats are so good for you they are called Essential Fats . Here's a little information on EFA's and 'good fats' and 'bad fats' (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28362&highlight=Essential+AND+fatty+AND+acid) .

The research and hype you read in the media about saturated fats being bad for you are all the results of studies done with fats in the presence of carbohydrates. This changes everything. Fat will not make you fat in the absence of insulin. (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28200&highlight=FAT+and+Insulin+AND+absence) Insulin is only produced when you eat carbohydrates. No insulin, no fat storage.
