I love this stuff! I picked up a jar last week, and would be thrilled if I can use it on Induction! the carbs are >1 so I'm assuming that this is ok? I hope so, because I love it on every kind of meat you can think of!

What ingredients are in it?
If all those listed are also on the list of allowed induction foods then you can use it!!

BTW make sure you work out how many 'servings' you are having when calculating the carbs, as >1 can mean it has between 0.5 and 0.9999999 carbs per serving!
So if you had 4 servings of it that would be 3.9999 carbs!

Thanks for the feedback! :) Here's what I found on it:

INGREDIENTS:
Butter (sweet cream), red pepper, vinegar, water, salt, cultured whey protein concentrate (whey protein concentrate, sodium citrate and lactic acid culture), maltodextrin, propylene glycol alginate, xanthan gum, potassium sorbate (a preservative), spice extractives, calcium disodium EDTA.

Serving size is 2 tablespoons for 80 calories. Fatty, but good I guess! :)

Does it really say >1? Because that means "greater than 1", not less than

I LOVE hot sauce, I use it in moderation because of the salt, mine has 0 carb but lots of salt.

Take care
Astrid

oops! had a doofus moment there--sorry, it does say <1 on my bottle, but when I checked the website, it said 0. So I'm just going to go with 1 carb per 2 tablespoons to be on the safe side. Glad I can have it though! It's the best!!

I bought that stuff last year. It was good, but I swear it had "sugar" listed as an ingredient. Besides all the man-made stuff, it looks pretty good. I'll have to try it again!

 Just guessing here, but isn't maltodextrin a form of sugar?

I think that's "maltose" you may be thinking of. Guessing here also, I'm thinking that the maltodextrin in the sauce is the source for the carbs--I think I can live with less than one carb per serving.

There is another Hooter's hot sauce that does have sugar in it--I'm steering away from that one! :)

You can also make your own...that's what I do. I buy the Crystal Louisana Pepper Sauce (0 carbs, 0 sugar, 0 malto-anything)...it's pure vinegar, cayenne pepper, water and salt. Anyway I just put some in a bowl with some real butter and microwave it and OMG...sooooooo delicious!!
