I thought it was a good program (repeat). Mankind has worked for centuries to have a steady supply of foods-- now we have it and its killing us.

Sad state of American society: all the information available and still bogged down with something we are struggling to control. Great info.

Bah! Missed it again. If you have broadband you can watch the whole show as a Windows media file:

I asked on their discussion board why he didn't do blood work before and after the diet-- he was concentrating more on weight as related to health and ignored the saturated facts.
I got a kick out of this post though and had to agree:Dear FRONTLINE,
Some of the information was very good. But really, do you think parading that cadaver-in-a-suit from Pritikin would inspire anyone?
He was absolutely horrifying and obviously either anorexic or suffering some other obsessive behavior to have starved himself to such an extreme. Truly not the image or the message you should have put forth - anorexia is a huge problem in the USA, and he could be the poster boy. Darla D.

I saw this finally! I had no idea the host was Gilbert from "Leave it to Beaver". The part I liked best was Atkins nearly coming to blows with Ornish at that USDA pyramid meeting.
I was just thinking if you combined Pritikin with The Christmas Story you'd get someone saying, "You'll clog up your arteries, kid".
