Has anyone read/heard of this book? I just ordered it off of Amazon. Unfortunatley, it is on backorder and I won't get it until January (grrrrr).

I think I have anorexia of the mind - when I look in the mirror - even when I look good - I think I look fat. Well, this is a bit of an overstatement since there are times that I think I look DAMN GOOD. Its the times that I am irrationally hard on myself that I get concerned. Fortunately, I don't follow through with any starving myself (obviously).

Anyway - I just want to change how I feel about myself both when I'm thin or heavy - I just want to love myself ALWAYS. I think this book may help as it requires me to be involved in changing my self-image (I think it does), rather than being just something to read that I won't/can't take to heart.

hey lynn,
the book sounds good and I like your thoughts on loving yourself no matter whether you are thin or heavy. I'd be interested to hear how the book is once you get it.

I am definitely going to keep this thread open and (as soon as I get it - grrrr), I will post some comments and particularly significant/poignant pionts here :) as I see fit.

I'm really hoping that I can work through these body-image issues - and I'm sure alot of people here feel the same.
