This is the second day of my re-induction (after 2 years) and I'm terribly nauseous. I never felt like this the first time around, but I know it's normal.
Does anyone have good advise on how to fend off this horrible nausea?

I went through that last week. I think drinking a lot of water might help, it was the only thing that took the headaches away for me.

Every single time I go back to induction level, I am nauseated pretty much all the time.... sometimes sipping hot chicken or beef broth helps.
Drat.

Could the nausea mean that I'm in ketosis already? I think day 2 is still too early isn't it? (I had 4 carbs yesterday and only 3 so far today)

I was very nauseated when I did Meat and Eggs for 3 days to get into Ketosis. Once I added in veggies, I felt fine. I drank some ginger tea (no carbs) and that helped my stomach immensely. It also helps stimulate digestion so I didn't have that heavy feeling in my gut all the time.
Feel better soon!

Yes, most of us have to deal with this the first few days but I would agree with upping the water intake. Also 4 carbs is pretty low. Maybe you need to add a few healthy veggies to your meals. Maybe slice up a Zhuccini, brush with Olive oil, sprinkle with parmesan and bake a about 10 minutes. Healthy, fast, light on calories and legal carbs. Hang in there...the payoff is worth it! :agree:

Is hyperacidity a possible reason? If the body is used to dealing with a stomach full of carbs, the body will continue to pump out excess acid if abruptly deprived of the carbs.

That sounds good, I am going to try that-- who knows, maybe it will make Zhuccini eatable? I had very little luck with fried eggplant, its too bitter :p:

Mike, there is a way to un-bitter eggplant. Makes a huge difference.
Cut/slice it however you wish. Shake good bit of salt on both sides, and lay them sort of on the sides of a strainer in the sink. Let them sit this way for 20 minutes or so. They'll look as though they've sweated. Then rinse and cook.
The salt purges the bitterness.
:)
