I've returned to LC for only 2-1/2 days, and while putting on socks this AM----I thought it seemed easier to reach my feet over the 'roll' that is there. Ok---so I'm groggy at the time--need shower and coffee.
A little while later, while doing yoga, I am doing forward bend (touch your toes) and WOW :stop: I can almost BREATHE while doing it, and there seems to be a LOT less in the way! :D
I have a really, really LONG way to go, but just that little bit made me :) .
I've read here that the 'carb bloat' belly goes away first, but that was quick. I mean the fat is still there, but........

I noticed a serious difference within days of eliminating grains from my diet. The fat was still there (though slightly diminished), but the bloat was gone. I could actually bend over without straining for breath due to the roll.
Not sure why grains go straight to the belly.

Grains give a lot of people issues with digestion. Probably causes bloat in your case. :)

Yes, it can happen that quick! Ain't Atkins grand? My first several pounds felt like it all came off my belly! Even now when I cut out cheese, all deli meats, no matter how low carb they are supposed to be, sugar free bacon, etc., I start to lose faster and any belly-bloat goes away.

One thing i regret now, is not taking my measurements when i started. It feels like my waist line hasn't changed much, its no longer bloated but no significant reduction. I guess it may also has to do with me being evenly proportioned. I would definitely take my measurement first thing tommorow morning.

OK, now I'm beginning to believe it's not just all in my head. :) Since some of you have had similar experiences.
I don't remember this happening when I gave LC a brief try before, but then, I've put a lot of belly/waist fat on with menopause. ;) Never carried it there before, so it has been weird. Never realized how much I liked my 'pear' shape, till I became a BIG apple.

Let me just add (before someone jumps on that statement ;) .....that I know I haven't lost fat yet, just bloat. It's just that with the extra fat there, I can sure use some decrease of any kind.
I'll take it!

I call my belly my carb barometer! People always used to think I was pregnant. Soooo embarrassing. If I go off plan for something like Thanksgiving, it comes right back, even if there's no weight gain with it. And you may not have lost weight yet, but the belly bloat goes away pretty fast! That alone tells me that LC is a good plan!! :)

I've read here that the 'carb bloat' belly goes away first, but that was quick. once you stop eating wheat and wheat products, the bloat goes down.
wheat flares up the intestines.
