I am wondering do other women gain as much weight as I do before their TOM? I typiclaly gain about 5lbs and it starts about a week and a half before TOM arrives. Do other people stall or gain weight then too?

Any tips or tricks?

HI SCARLET when I first LCed I used atkins I was eating a lot of carbs(for me) I was at 20 carbs had to go down to five a day ( i only found this out after giving up and eating garbage for years and then realizing i needed to do something different ) also I had to give up all artificial sweetener ,what happened to me before I found all this out was I would stall a week before my period then the week of my TOM I would gain five lbs then it would take a week to go down to what I was .So the end result would be that I would only have one week to lose weight .I guess my recommendation would be to eat just meat egg and plenty of fat, and NO sweeteners i hope I have helped.

I gain about that too, but often after I lose the 5 pounds and a few more, I think in my case it is just water retention, and normal.

Probably because I'm much bigger than you, I tend to gain that or MORe each month. When I was still weighing regularly, I'd see fluctuations of up to 10 lbs. Like liddie says, it's water weight, and normal... okay, unless you "supplement" with chocolate. :D
