I started LC last Tuesday and lost 5 lbs in 5 days and was doing fine. Then I was babysitting last night (which is also where I work, I'm their nanny) and I decided to cheat after the kids went to bed. It was like 10pm, I was tired and lonely and bored. So I had half a pb&j sandwich, a bowl of cheerios, and a handful of pita chips. Not a huge amount of food, but it shows on the scale. Anyway, I know I did it out of boredom and old habit, I just want to be held accountable for the behavior.

I notice other memebers here are so hard on themselves for cheating....you needn't be. It's easier to move forward if you can just admit it and get back on the plan the next day.

A nice positive attitude is the key to moving on; better yet, you understood the motivation of WHY you did it...boredom, old habit, etc.

However, NEXT TIME you're bored and lonely, are you going to recognize and correct the behavior?

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I'm just now starting to recognize and understand why I cheat...but it hasn't stopped me from doing it. I blew a bunch of diets before returning here...and LC is the diet I'm least likely to cheat on (given the liberal nature of the diet). Sometimes I just loose control. You look great, by the way, good work!
