I made some LC brownies Friday. I started REALLY craving things this weekend but thought it was just ya know.. maybe my time of the month or whatnot. I have been preparing myself for everything this time, really trying to keep myself on track even when obsticals come into play.

Well I got over it on the weekend and thought "whew". Well my hubby asked me to make some more of those brownies for his birthday and I thought.. well ok. I try to keep anything sweet just for Fridays as a little movie treat but oh well. So .. made the brownies (very good btw) and after that I was CRAVING EVERYTHING (not really sweets.. stuff like nachos, etc). I was even craving legal things (mcdonalds bacon ranch salad).

I mean I almost cheated like 100 times! I kept telling myself just get passed this and that and you'll be ok. I even told myself "FINE self, if you want to have a cheat dinner you can..but its not tonight because Im not giving in to temptation".

Well I got my bacon ranch salad... and I snacked and snacked.. blah. Went over in carbs; I try to keep mine between 30-50 a day, BUT I DIDNT GIVE IN TO BAD BAD CARBS!!!

Oh.. and I figured out that I cant make those brownies anymore :(

Congrats on how you handled that situation! :cheer: There are so many times when we are faced with temptations like that, but it does help to have a plan in mind! Good for you for sticking to it!

Yeah! I'm so proud of you! Going over with 'good' carbs is way better than giving in to the bad ones. You did a lot of damage control to get through that weekend.

It must be in the air--I have been fighting it for about three days. I let myself eat 'legal' foods after dinner and ate way more than usual all day, rather than give into the cold weather, carby, comfort foods I was craving. This combination of TOM, PMS and a full moon is a killer! Dang evil carbs!

OMG - that is just the best! Is that your creation or is it something we can "borrow" for our own signature?
Thanks, Linda

Good for you LIVEWELL. It's interesting what triggers us to crave when we are truly plugged into what we are eating. I had meatloaf with real ketchup the other day and it made me crave BAD!
