if i have a fright, and my heart rate triples from adrenalin,
am i burning more calories than normal.............??

PS....

I wrote:

What I meant to write is: while you are performing a
particular activity, your heart rate is an indication of the
degree of exertion.

But just because your heart is beating at a particular rate
when you are not performing that activity, that does not mean
you are exerting the same energy (calories).
